Little gems

Vorige week verjaarde oma en maakte ik voor haar sieraden van haar kleinkinderen: Kate als ketting en Jack als broche. Gehangen op een zelfgemaakt borstbeeld van papier en ze kan letterlijk met haar kleinkinderen pronken. Ook maken?

1. Zoek een goede afbeelding

2. Zet deze om in zwart wit en verhoog helderheid en contrast en print het (ca. 15-18 cm hoog).

3. Trek het over op een vel krimpplastic met watervaste stift. De contouren met een dikke punt en de overige lijntjes met een dunnere punt.

4. Maak voor de hanger een gaatje met de perforator en krimp het in de oven.

5. Kleur achterzijde naar wens met acrylverf.

Maak af met brochespeld en/of touwtje met kraal. Het papieren borstbeeld vond ik op Pinterest.

Last week it was grandma’s birthday and I made her jewellery of her little gems, Kate as nacklace and Jack as broche. Put on a necklace display and now she can show off with her grandchildren. Wanna make this too?

1. Look for a good picture

2. Make it black&white, enhance clarity and contrast and print it (about 15-18 cm high)

3. Trace it on a sheet of shrink foil with black marker. Use a thin point for inner lines and a thick one for the contours.

4. Make a hole for the necklace and shrink it on the oven.

5. Colour the back in the colours you want with acryllic paint.

Attach a broche pin and/or a cord with a bead. I found the paper necklace display on Pinterest.

Celebrating seven!

We vieren weer een feestje want Kate wordt 7! Dat wordt een drukke week met partijtje, traktatie, feestje en rokje naaien. Next week we are having a party cause Kate will turn 7! It’s gonna be a busy week with a party for little friends and one for friends & family, making treats and sewing a new skirt. For Florine

Paar dagen ziek geweest, samen met mijn zoon…… maar gelukkig had ik dit project al klaar om te showen! Dit is het kaartje dat ik voor vrienden heb gemaakt; eerst een potloodschets, toen in Illustrator getekend en vervolgens op de snijmachine geproduceerd. De ouders van Florine zijn er erg blij mee!!

We (son and I) were ill for a few days….. but fortunately I had a finished project to show you! This is the card a made for friends; first a rough sketch, then I drawed it in Illustrator and after that the production on the lasercutmachine. The parents of Florine are very happy with it!!

I did it again!

Voor mijn dochters verjaardag maak ik ieder jaar een jurk of rokje, hier de 6e editie, een geplooide. Ze bedacht er ook een ketting bij van fimoklei, ze duwde het bakvormpje niet helemaal door, ik vind het een vondst!

Every year I make my daughter a dress or skirt for her birthday, this is nr 6, a pleated one. She made up a pendant herself made with fimo (clay) herself, I think it’s great!

Spring clean

Gebeund als zotten afgelopen week in ons huis, was hard nodig (een nieuwe bank ook)…. Meteen slingers opgehangen want mijn jongen is vandaag 11 geworden!

We cleaned up this week like crazy, it was about time (also for a new sofa)….. The garlands are for my 11-year old son!

Birthday outfit

De klad zit erin, blogtempo gaat rap omlaag….. Heb daarom eindelijk eens een foto gemaakt van het rokje dat ik voor mijn dochter naaide (voor haar verjaardag in november). Elke verjaardag een nieuwe!

I’ve got the blues, nothing much I want to blog about. Therefore I thought of making a picture of the skirt I made for my daughter (for her birthday in november). It’s tradition to do so!

Jarig vandaag en Hendrik kocht de rode ‘hakken’ die ik al zolang wilde; yes yes yes!

It’s my birthday today and Hendrik bought me the red shoes I wanted for so long; yes yes yes!

Lego Jack

Jack wordt volgende week 9 jaar! Dit maakten we vandaag voor zijn uitnodiging.

Jack’s gonna be 9 years old next week. We made this today for his invitations.
