Dream location for leisure time

Het is vakantie! Het liefste zou ik 2 weken op deze plek rondhangen, beetje tekenen, koffie drinken, Simenonnetjes lezen, alle aandacht voor mijn gezin…. Maar dat is voor een volgende keer misschien, nu maakte ik een bijpassend dessin op mijn laptop.

It’s holiday! Preferabely I’d like to hang around in this place, doing a little drawing, drink cups of coffee, reading my Simenons and have all the time for my family…. But that’s for another holiday perhaps, now I made a dessin to fit this scenery.

Interior and dessin again

Struinend op Behance via Pinterest stuitte ik op dit beeld, een aha-moment want dit interieur doet me denken aan een dessin dat ik deze herfst maakte. Deze kleuren hiervan heb ik nu gematcht met dit beeld en ik vind um super! Ik ga meer met deze ‘bril’ naar interieurs kijken want ik had al eerder een match.

Stumbling on Behance through Pinterest I came across this image, an aha-moment cause this interior reminds me of a dessin I made last year. I changed the colours of this dessin to match this image and I love it! I hope to discover more of these matches on the internet.

My free work

Eind april had ik niet genoeg materiaal voor een nieuwe designsheet dus nu een verzameling over 2 maanden van vrij werk. Komende maand ga ik meer doen met marmeren om dit vervolgens in grafisch werk te gebruiken en experimenteren met texturen in illustraties en patronen/dessins.

At the end of april I didn’t have enough material to make a new designsheet so now I made a collection of free work from 2 months. In june I wanna try marbling a little more to use in my graphic work and I’m going to experiment more with textures in my illustrations and dessins.

Marsala 18-1438

De ‘Pantone colour of the year’ is Marsala. Meestal ben ik niet zo gecharmeerd van dit fenomeen maar deze kleur vind ik fantastisch; warm, stevig en veelzijdig. Op Flickr vond ik bovenstaand beeld, prachtig en helemaal Marsala. Natuurlijk ook een patroon gemaakt met deze kleur waarvan je een staal kunt downloaden op de Pantone site als ook de hieronder geplaatste wallpaper.

The ‘Pantone colour of the year’ is Marsala. Mostly I’m not that into this phenomena but I think this colour is gorgeous; warm, firm and versatile. On Flickr I found the image of the coloured bark, beautiful and very Marsala. Naturally I made a pattern with this colour of which you can download a swatch on the Pantone site and also the wallpaper displayed below.

Pressed Pattern

Yeey, het JFW Magazine heeft één van mijn patronen gebruikt als promotie van mijn werk, super! Het is gebruikt in een artikel over wannahaves, als achtergrond maar ook in de grote cijfers op iedere pagina. Mijn patroon plaats ik hieronder in lage resolutie.

Yeey, the JFW Magazine used one of my patterns as free promotion of my work, how great is that? It’s used in an article with wannahaves as background and also in big numbers on each page. I show my pattern below in low resolution.

Dag Sinterklaasje, hallo Kerstman!! Heerlijk, het is weer december! Samen, binnen, knus en cadeautjes inpakken. Bovenstaand dessin maakte ik voor Enper, opgezet in 3 pantone-kleuren (lees ‘kostenbesparing’) en het is om te kleuren in iedere denkbare kleurcombinatie. De klant koos het niet en ik redde de print uit de prullenbak! Onderstaand is een aanpassing van een eerder gemaakte dessin, niet verloren gegaan tijdens de crash van 2 weken geleden. Laat Kerst maar komen!!!

Bye bye Sinterklaas, hello Santa Claus!! What a delight, it’s december! Family, inside, cosiness and wrapping up presents. I made the dessin above for my former employer, it’s made in 3 pantone colours (reed ‘cost reduction’) and it can be recoloured in all sorts of colourcombinations. The customer didn’t pick it and I saved it from the wastebin! The dessin below is a remake of a dessin I made 2 years ago and has not gone lost in the crash 2 weeks ago. Christmas is coming!!!
